Being 4-legged is so overrated…

My parents (dad mostly) give me daily updates on how Chloe is doing and send lots of picture messages.  I am happy to report that she is doing just great! Chloe is finally back to her normal self after her Monday tooth extraction. Who likes having teeth pulled anyway, regardless of whether you are a human or dog? Last night my dad took both the girls (Chloe and her sister Rocket) on part of our favorite beach route walk, which is the farthest Chloe has walked post amp!  FYI  we can’t walk on on the beach since no dogs are allowed, so the walk is just to the beach and back.  He made sure to stop and turn around at the top of the hill that led down to the beach, so as not to push Chloe too much if she wasn’t ready for walking down/up a 0.3mi hill.  Hoever even that truncated walk was still just under a mile according to Google Earth! Chloe certainly has come a long way since my dad said she was basically pulling the whole time… Maybe in a few weeks she will be able to complete our favorite beach walk!

As for stairs, Chloe seems to go up/down the 15 stairs up to my parents’ room (now her surrogate bedroom) with much more ease! Plus they are wooden! By the time she comes up to live with me in a mere 4 weeks (yay!), she should be able to do the same 15 steps at the house I am currently living in. At least she will have the advantage of having carpeted stairs at my place…

Happy 3 Week Ampuversary to Chloe and I look forward to giving weekly updates until she comes up with me!!! 30 more days….

Here is a video I got of Chloe chasing her favorite squeaker!

The update on Chloe today (via parents) is that her tooth extraction went well and that she is updated on all her shots! Her previous rabis shot was good until 2012, so I don’t understand why they gave her the shot again today… Anyway when my dad went to pick her up, she seemed a bit sluggish (drugged) and then after they got home she kept wandering the house. My dad presumed that meant she was looking for me. 🙁 I miss her too!  He decided to take her on a walk just to calm her nerves, which seemed to help.  My dad also told me that last night Asieke decided to sleep on Chloe’s bed even though it is nowhere near better than any of the other 3 human beds he could have chosen to sleep on (plus my bed is completely empty!). He said that when Chloe wanted to go to sleep and found him there, she whined to my parents at 2 in the morning because she didn’t know how to tell Asieke to move his butt off her bed. I think Asieke did it on purpose in order to reaffirm his dominance in the house. What a cat.

So I’m all moved in to my new place, but I miss Chloe already. At least I have 34 more days to prep the backyard (get dog house, clean up weird things) and my roommates. Here is the last picture I took of her when I was still home. Asieke decided to snuggle with her that night 🙂

Good news is that I already found the petsmart, so I can get dog toys and drop off her vaccination records before she gets here.  The next time I see her she should have all her fur again!! And one less tooth…

I’ll give updates as I receive them from my parents!
