This year, I decided to rename the Thanksgiving holiday “Thanksfourgiving” because this special day fell very close to Chloe’s 4 month ampuversary.  And going along with tradition, these are the things I am thankful for: Thanksforgiving Chloe a treatable cancer, thanksforgiving Chloe the will to be her old playful self (and lots of energy), thanksforgiving us the last 4 months together and most of all, thanksforgiving me such wonderful friends and family including those on the tripawd website.

On our long roadtrip home, we made a stop at Miss Mackenzie’s house! Chloe met Mackenzie, Kobe and Mackenzie’s mom! Here is a video Mackenzie’s mom made of the Pre-LA Tripawd Pawty.

Then onto a relative’s house for Thanksgiving dinner. Yes, we have relatives kind enough to let Chloe tag along 🙂 I sneaked her some delicious smoked salmon….  My brother shared his screamo music with her on the drive there…

Did I mention that today is Chloe’s 4 month ampuversary? Well it is and we (Chloe, her sister Rocket and I) went to the local dog park to celebrate with some old friends! The other two pooches are named Amber and Arwyn (pronounced Aerowin). They sure had fun running around being dogs. In order from top to bottom: Rocket, Chloe, Arwyn and Amber.

And we spotted a Maggie Moo Look-a-like! Only this girl didn’t have the pretty spots like Maggie…It was the ears that did it!

It was appropriate that we visited the dog park because this was the very place I first noticed a tumor on her leg.  Now that we have come back a mere 4 months later, so much has changed for the better.  I am thankful for these last 4 months and we hope to celebrate many more ampuversaries!
